NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN EXPLORATION LICENCE

Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 – Section 15(5)
Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development}(Mineral Industries) Regulations 2013 – Regulation 20 (1) and Schedule 8

Locality of the land to which the application relates: In the vicinity of Gordon. South from Bolwarra and West of, but not including, Fiskville and Ballan

Approximate area of the application: 115 square kilometres

Date of the application: 24 November 2016

The nature of the proposed exploration program to which the application relates: Historical Research, mapping, sampling, costeaning, drilling and bulk sampling.

5. Objections
Any person may object to a licence being granted (section 24, Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990)

A person who objects must:
(a) Put the objection in writing; and
(b) Include the grounds on which it is made; and
(c) Send it the Manager, Earth Resource Tenements, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources GPO Box 4509 MELBOURNE 3001 within 21 days after the latest date on which the application was advertised.

All objections received are available to be inspected free of charge at the Earth resources Business Centre, 23th Floor 1 Spring Street MELBOURNE VIC 3000

6. Other statutory Requirements.

Subject to other statutory requirements being satisfied, an exploration licence, if granted, entitles the holder of the licence to search and explore for minerals in the relevant land but does not entitle the holder to undertake mining.

The Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) (Mineral Industries) Regulations 2013 (MRSDMIR) commenced on 20 October 2013 and require an applicant for an exploration licence or retention licence to make the following information available for at least 21 days after the latest date on which the application was advertised:

  1. Details of the proposed program of work on the licence.
  2. A description of the applicant’s systems for managing impacts of the proposed work on the community (including landowners and occupiers) and the environment.
  3. An outline of how the applicant intends to meet the licensee’s obligations under section 39A of the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 to consult with the community (including landowners and occupiers).
